I am considering getting one of the Tromix Shark Muzzle Brakes for my AR. I am not sure if it is any good, but it looks awesome. Does anyone have any comments on it or any suggestions of what is good. My other AR has a Phantom brake on it.
You want it simply for the looks? There are other breaks and flash hiders out there that seem to be designed much better for only a little more money.
Do you find yourself jamming your muzzle into the enemy a lot?
No but I do like the looks. Which one would you suggest?
PWS FS556
Battlecomp
AAC Blackout
Smith Vortex
Do a search on any one of these and decide which suits your mission the best.
I too have been entertaining the idea of the Tromix Shark Break on a Adams Arms 7.5" PDW Upper ( Pistol Config ). As I am sure that it’s capatilities as a Muzzel Break are limited the CDI factor is through the roof. As far as a flash hidergoes I don’t think there is one on the market that can eliminate the flash from a 7.5, unless it’s a full-on suppressor. Even my SE Vortex can’t kill the flash.
I do have to say…the thing looks cool as hell.
Pardon me, if I intrude, but has anyone tried this XTC from Rainier Arms?

I have one and like it a lot. I’d say its very similar to the PWS FS556. If one had to have a permed muzzle devise, I’d choose this because you have access to the muzzle crown in order to clean any fouling.
I thank all of you for your suggestions and comments. I am not sure which one I am getting yet. I still like the looks of the tromix shark, but i may be more practical and get one of the others.
