Trijicon caves in...

I guess my ACOG with JN 8:12 on it just became a collectors item.

That reflects my feelings as well. Really sad to think that it bothered people.

Nope…Knew they were there. A positive for me with the irony of the miltary using them to kill islamic terrorists.

Again, anyone rationalizing that saving monetary income for Trijicon due to their caving in probably also supported the NAFTA and other liberal issues that attempt to quickly bring the rest of the world up to America’s standards (or remove America from it’s greatness and move it down to the the level of the rest of the world). Politcal correctness and greed are allowing the other sides to win…

Wonder if our Founding Fathers worried about the loss of sales of goods to the British army before starting the Revolutionary War?

Im Jewish, ive never read the bible and truthfully i dont plan on doing so as i do not have the time.

Having said that, i respect the desires of a company to put bible verses on their products. Does it affect me or offend me in any way shape or form?

Heck no. If the scope was pink and looked like a vagina i would still put it on my rifle so long as it did what it was intended to do, ie magnify a target so i can hit it more accurately.

Seriously, what the heck is going on with this country? Everyone is offended by EVERYTHING.

I have no issue with Trijicon marking their product.

I don’t see any reason they have to notify users of the markings either.

That said, once your customer notices and raises it as an issue it has to be addressed. End of story.

I don’t see a conspiracy. I don’t see Trijicon caving in. I do see a lot of folks running around looking for an opportunity to be insulted and looking for a reason to bitch and moan.

You try to accommodate your customers in order to stay in business. Some demands you meet, some you don’t. Depends on the value of the customer to your organization. I’m pretty certain it’s in Trijicon’s best interests to accommodate their largest buyers so long as it doesn’t jeopardize their profitability, product quality, or ability to reach their company goals.

It is what it is, I would have liked to have seen them leave the verses on their products. It would have shown me that they are true to the beliefs of their company’s founders, which is honorable. On the religious note, “…everything you do, do for the glory of God…” religion ties into everything if your religious, its not based on convenience.

I’m glad you said this. I would think it would be equally cool if Trijicon had put “Ain Soph Aur” or “Limitless Light”, or other Kabbalistic references.

Again, people’s panties are way in a twist over something so silly.

trijicon made their point.
i’ll be buying another one real soon:D

Bad move…now muslim terrorist can use trijicons against us w/out offending allah.

…at least the world can start spinning again for some people.

Im dissapointed they caved to not offend some liberal a$$hole or some third worlder who still wipes his a$$ w/ his bare hands

Im amazed how so many Christians cave so easily, I guess money is more important than principle!

Now I guess we better stop using our rifles, ammo and equipment as they were all made in a nation by employees who are mostly Christians lest we offend someone

Well at least the dead terrorist wont be offended because he was zapped by an ACOG w/ a number that refrences the bible!

My next optic will now be a ACOG.

I don’t care if is says has a christian verse, a jewish verse, or a muppet verse. not like is actually said “for christian use only” or “users of this optic must convert”. Just references to light.

I’d feel more strongly about their principles if ALL their products were marked this way, but apparently it’s only the ACOG.

I wish they’d just add references to appropriate suras and Torah verses.

decodiesel, really well said.

SPEAKING OF TRIJICON… nav collapse… you still have the reflex for sale???

Yeah, that specific customer for sure & generally speaking. . . . most customers in most businesses seem that way. Mil-spec is a term that gets tossed around a lot, sometimes Mil spec stuff is really great . . . sometimes it is what the lowwest bidder produces, often the difference gets split somewhere. If ACOGs have got to be stripped of a little print to make thim Mil-spec, I don’t believe it affects the quality of the product in any way. At least the .mil isn’t going to Chinese Bushnell Knockoffs to replace the Trijicons.

I think it is great that they put the verse references on, I think it is wise they are taking them off. I think it sucks that the Anti-theist (yeah, that is a great term) got thier panties in a bunch over this . . . and it is probably in part backlash over recent political defeats. Macx shrugs his shoulders and puts “Trijicon with scripture references” on his “things to buy when the coin jar gets high enough” list.

That was their first IIRC, and has been marked as such since its inception

Remeber the ACOG was developed freely by them w/ no input from the .mil, the .mil solicited them for the optic and inspected them and passed them as is

I too am in for a “Slightly used” model. Or at least one that still has the “Secret religious jargon” on it. I’m not even religious by any stretch of the immagination, but you could engrave Christ on The Cross on my Lower Receiver, and as long as it still functions, I’ll still use it. I don’t bame Trijicon, they are just filling a Govt. Contract. It’s true that the customer has the right to choose the features he wants. What would be good for Trijicon, was if they could do custom seriel# for all of us. I’de pay extra for 666 and a pentagram to be on mine, just to bother folks.

Not sure how this country was founded upon Judeo-Christian beliefs or why you believe our country should be fighting a war while using equipment with any reference to any religion. The United States is a secular nation and any opposing belief is out of ignorance or delusion to the Constitution itself.

This isn’t the crusades and that’s exactly why Trijicon and the U.S. Government are handling it this way.

Keep God out of government.

I don’t know what is more fucked up.

That a private company was forced to remove religious symbols from their product or that people actually blame them for compliance.

The .mil never asks for a product to be altered once it gets accepted right?

It is bad enough for the libtards to get in a twist about this, but I just don’t see a positive Christian image being conveyed by boohooing Trijicon doing what they have to to keep their awesome product in the hands of our troops.

This is kind of a similar discussion to the efficacy of Barrett refusing to sell to LEO orgs in CA. Yeah, you can hurt your business to get your point across & maybe it will make people rally to support your business & that is all fine and well, while we are talking about LEO orgs in CA being able to buy .50 cal rifles their citizens are denied . . . but it is entirely different when we are talking about a quality product in the hands of troops that are in harm’s way.

This is a perfect time for the Christian “turn the other cheek” deal. Yeah it is insulting that the passage references will have to be removed, turn the cheek and keep supplying optics to kill terrorists with. That is a Christian response & that is something I can get behind.
