Can any tell me if this is a real Trijicon ACOG 4 X 32 this is the part number on the side of it D0FL29TA31RCOM1504948133 Rifle Scope

I have a Trijicon ACOG (Model TA31F-G) and it does not have those numbers on the side…

All I see are Trijicon ACOG (ACOG 4x32), a S/N number, “Made in the USA” and a statement about the tritium.

The number is consistent with the military TA31s (Army M150s).
Serial number (4948133) is a fairly recent number, I’d estimate manufacture to be 09.

Call Trijicon, they can tell you right away if it’s government owned. If it is government owned, run from it.

Meaning Trijicon originally sold it to the military or other government agency. There is a lot of lost/stolen military equipment floating around pawn shops and ebay. The military is actually actively seeking out this lost/stolen equipment and will confiscate it if its tracked down. I’m unaware of any legitimate sales of government acogs to the public.

The military models are available to the civilian market.
I was just saying that from what information was shared, there is nothing that seems off. However, there really isn’t that much information.
Detailed pictures help, but most of that information on fake/counterfeit optics is widely available through the magic of Google.

That looks legit but the price is getting up high enough I would pass and by a new one from a reputable dealer.

That’s a very good price for the RCO model, the seller also has good feedback seems like a good deal to me.

To clarify my comments, I wasn’t talking about the military model being an issue. I am talking about the potential of the particular acog being government owned. It may or may not, but all it takes is a simple phone call to trijicon with the serial number to confirm either way. They keep a record of what serial numbers were sold to the government.
