Trigger recommendations

I’ve read the trigger test above but am still looking for trigger opinions/recommendations.

I recently built a DPMS LR-308 that will be primarily an bench rifle but will see some duty hunting and long range shooting. I had my factory trigger sent to Bill Springfield for a 3# trigger job with the lightened hammer. I don’t like it, at all. The initial shot is still almost 6# and when only going out to reset it is right at 3#, BUT I have to snap to reset or it will double fire on me. I can’t ease out to reset like I can on my RRA 2 stage triggers.

Anyway, I want an adjustable 2 stage trigger (I think). The issue is my budget will only allow for a $200 MAX for the trigger. So far I have only been able to find a JARD 2 stage adjustable with a weighted hammer in that category. I don’t see them mentioned on the forums often so I don’t know if they are quality or not.

So in a nutshell I am looking for feedback on a JARD 2 stage adjustable OR an alternate that fits withing my criteria.

Send it back.

This is one of the very rare cases of a customer unsatisfied with his work, and I’m sure he’ll do whatever it takes to make it right. Even if you don’t want to use a single-stage, you probably want it as a spare.

Nothing against the guy who did the trigger test, but it’s limited and obsolete (no SSA, no Springfield job). It really ought to be updated or pulled down.
