Nice middy. Excellent choice in hardware too. The XTMs in different colors gives it a nice distinction—thinking my next rifle will be equipped with such a setup. Need a range report soon.
Unfortunately, no. I know it may be a travesty to post pictures before I actually shoot her, but I couldn’t wait. I guess I also need to pick out a name for her, too. She’ll get out within the next week.
Wow…don’t guess you’ll be posting a bunch of questions on
what you need to do to up-grade your rifle.
EXCELLENT choices on parts list. Congratulations on doing it
the right way the first time.
…and please don’t name the rifle or refer to it as “her”.
It’s a tool…a very cool tool…but a tool nonetheless
Finally got a chance to get to the range today and shoot. Very satisfied with the rifle. I am going to purchase some anti-walk pins for my lower, since I saw they moved around a bit by the time I was done.
The target below (8" sticky) was a 10 shot group at 125 yards. That target was at the very edge of the range, pushed back to the treeline. I think I did pretty decent for iron sights and a 16" barrel. Bought a couple cases of Federal XM193, so more practice is in my future.
