At 5:48 Larry sweeps someone with the rifle. Yeah, I know he only swept his shins.
Dont be a douche.
And if you have never been swept by a rifle you have never been to combat. Even around experts it happens. The 4 firearms rules are there so that if you break one no one gets hurt. Its when you break two that things get ugly.
Rick
I’ve been doing this a long time Rick and lest I bore you with the details, I have on my person an accidental gunshot wound which qualifies me as an expert. As for keeping my mouth shut when someone makes a mistake, I usually don’t do that. There are two major tragedies in my past I feel partially responsible for. Had I been more insistent on diligent gun handling these tragedies might not have occurred. Didn’t want to be a douche so I kept my mouth shut. I prefer to refer to it as “pain in the ass” but if douche suits you, that’s o.k. too. “It happens” is an excuse. If your attitude is “it happens” there may be a tragedy in your future. I hope not because, again speaking from personal observation, the cost of a such a tragedy, the financial cost, emotional cost, the cost to others, is unimaginable.
At 5:48 Larry picked up the M4 that had been run over by the truck. He had put it on the road with no round in the chamber and the bolt was not charged. He picked it up at which point he swept the guy in the frame, but note that the magazine had popped out. He had to pop it back in and then he charged it.
I appreciate the concern, but, yea, I’d say in this case you are being a douche.
