Does anybody have any clever solutions for getting their steel targets to and from the range? A case that would make for easy storage?
I haul my stuff around in an enclosed trailer. I put 2/3 IPSC targets in a milk crate with partition I made in it. I have a couple other milk crates purposed for plates, but not as slick as the one for the torso plates. Of course the crates also work in the back of a pickup or van - make sure you strap them down, especially in the van.
A bigger storage problem for me was all the bases.
I just use a beach cart when i take my stuff to the range or my uncles. it supports 265lbswhich covers what i need. its nice because it folds up compactly in my car
If you have a truck and space isn’t a big concern something like this would work well i would think. Up to 1k pounds. Other versions available
I used to just lay them on an old surplus para trooper jump bag thingy. I was super heavy canvas. I could slide them to the back of the pick up bed for off loading.
I was trying to find a crate or box or something similar.
I think I need something bigger than a milk crate, I know they make larger sizes, maybe if I could measure one.
How big are the metal targets you are wanting to tote?
I use a two wheel hand cart on smoothish surfaces, take the plates out of the crate and lay them on the cart.
Its all I can do to move the milk crate with 6 ipsc plates in it, I sure the heck ain’t toting it around. If the ground is uneven I tote them two at a time by hand.
Not that big. They are reduced size with stands and I only have 2 right now. I was thinking a Rubbermaid type crate, but I can’t find one sturdy enough

This is a great duty 19"x44" poly box. Should be more solid than Rubbermaid. It’s at tractor supply could probably check out in person
I originally didn’t read op that well. Thought you wanted something to move them around at the range. Cart is great for that
At my normal place I just drive the truck down and unload.
A small 5’x8’ enclosed trailer. Keeps me from having to take up storage space in the shed. Of course the trailer takes up a small spot in the drive, but…
The most obvious thing would be to use a target system that doesn’t take up a lot of room. Bulky stands to hang the targets are the main culprit.

If you are an owner or employee shouldn’t you have that as a disclaimer in your signature line so people are aware you are talking about your own products?
I used to just keep them in the back of my SUV. Stands on one side and plates on the other. I had a toolbox, eyes, ears, backup eyes/ears, cleaning kit, spare nuts/bolts, spray paint, spare magazines, and spare ammunition.
Sometimes, I’d unload it into the garage. It took literally 20 minutes to pack it all up, drive there, set up and then haul it back home.
One day, the wife complained about all of my targets in the garage taking up space. I have a little under 8 acres, so I set them up in my backyard. If I have to go to my club, which I do with rifles, unsuppressed firearms, Magnums, then I go there. If I’m shooting suppressed, I shoot at home. 90% of my live fire shooting is in the backyard. I also practice dry fire shooting, now.
I load my supplies in my UTV and just leave them there.
My private driveway is a 1/3 mile long so I can shoot pretty far from my personal road.

Since I only have 1 stand (a H-frame, with a 4’ long piece of angle bar to put the mount onto), I just leave it in the back of my pick up bed. I have a few different silhouette targets, one stays with it. Though I have a few pop up pistol targets, I just add them if I feel like it, since my range doesn’t have a good place to put them, and I had shooting down into, basically, the dirt. I feel it breeds bad habits, mainly, I’m never going to be attacked by a dirt clod. Why not get the gun parallel to the deck?
