Training dummy rounds?

What are the best kind if dummy rounds to train with?

I want to pratice safe weapon handling and drills at home.

Also practice stoppage drills at the range.

Thnx

I’ve seen the Magpul, but they are out of stock everywhere.

I like to use real brass type of rounds instead of some of the plastic or poly versions. They cost more but are far more durable.

These are the types that I purchase for use at home and work.

Call around to your local military surplus stores. One of my local stores has an ammo can full of military 5.56mm dummy rounds.

I use these: Action Training Dummy Rounds

I had a friend of mine who reloads make me some dummy rounds. Just like a regular reload but with no powder or primer. I then drilled a hole all the way through both sides of each casing and filled them wtih hotglue, including the primer pockets.

30 rounds 5.56
10 rounds 7.62x39
20 rounds 9mm
10 rounds .45

Cheap and effective.

I was in his shop 4 hours ago, he has probably a half dozen baggies of em…

I heard the A zoom snap caps are suppose to be pretty good:cool:

Go for the A-Zooms $10-$15 per pack of two. One piece aluminum housing with a soft poly primer area.

Azooms last the longest but I have switched to using the ones from LETargets.com

They are much easier to find on the floor at home and in the grass at the range. I use them for myself and the classes I teach.
