TP9 SBR

Anyone have one of these? If so what do you think? I’m considering selling MP5 clone for one, just want to know if it’s worth it.

I’m interested to know, too.

I was looking to get one awhile ago but the availability of mags and the lack of availability for a suppressor(and when one came available it was more than the gun!)

My mind changed, glad I didn’t sell my MP5 clone to get that SBR. Would be fun though.

Yeah, I was flipping through a Shotgun News the other day and saw a DSA ad with the 30 rd. mags for $45:mad:. I know original/quality MP5 mags will be more, but I can buy at least two 9mm AR mags (from C Products) for $45 and atleast 3 PMags for that price.

Tite Shot- how much is that suppressor? I just saw it in a shotgun news from a few months ago. It looked interesting. Does anyone know how it performs?

I had an original Steyr SPP and while it was a truly cool looking gun there were issues. For one the trigger pull on it was terrible, like 10-12 pounds easy. Same issue with any Steyr AUG or TMP type, since there isn’t a selector switch for semi to full auto it is controlled by the distance you pull the trigger. Also it was a real bitch to strip and then get back together. But the cool factor is +1000 and regardless of the minuses it was fun to shoot.

From what I’ve read B&T redesigned certain areas of the gun. They added a selector to cure the trigger pull woes. Other issues, I don’t know. I hear they’re working on a .45 ACP version. Now that interestes me! Probably too late for us civies living in a Obamanation though…:frowning:

I got to handle a few at SHOT including the .45 model. Not shot it yet so I’ll not say how it shoots.

Trigger pull sucks (long, spongy and reset are all pretty bad), and disassembly/reassembly is really a pain, but might get better with practice. Jen from DSA and I spent about 20 mins trying to figure it out at the both before the tech came by. Nice and compact for an SBR, but doesn’t make a great pistol. IMO the designs needs refinement.

Rotex suppressor is about a grand, about 200 less than the gun itself.

For the price, I’d probably go with an SBRd Uzi if you wanted to ditch your MP5 clone.

If the clone functions well, I’d say just stay with it.
