Personally, I would rather buy the design from the Army SOF Veteran who originally designed/sold it than from a felon who stole it.
I know guys who were wearing the prototypes months before they were listed as a “new product” at OSOE.

BFG ten speed pouches can hold basically anything. I actually have them covering extra area on my PC just because they’re so useful and are effectively weightless and flat when not in use.
I can’t believe I didn’t think of sticking a TQ in there either!
My last trip I had a Eagle spc with MTV cumberbun. I had a tq on each side, outside top of the side plates under the strap that holds the plates in the cumberbun. Easy to get to and fairly secure.
I use them. You can get them in more muted colors like brown and camo green.
I draw one half under a molle strip, then attach my SOF-T with each looped end. This technique works to attach a TQ to almost anything with a loop.
Pics?
Yup bet my wife keeps wondering we’re they go. Lol
Wifey’s hair ties work for me as well. I have the tourniquet on a plate carrier active shooter kit in my cruiser trunk, they seem to last longer than rubber bands.
that was my suggestion in a similar thread. but don’t use the sparkly ones… ![]()
It’s not my most favorite design, but I have never had a TQ fall out. The entire TQ wobbles and I don’t like that, that’s just the design of the holder though.
Could you elaborate on this? I saw the pics and thought this looked like a good design. Is is offered by someone else besides OSOE? You can PM me if necessary.
Interesting…who originally designed/sold them?
I use one to carry a SOFT-TW on my war belt, and have been happy with it so far. The closure takes getting used to. Pulling off a Velcro strap would be easier than releasing the hook thing under stress with slippery fingers, but you can just pull the TQ out the side if you need to. It’s a little floppy side to side, but it hasn’t come undone or fallen off. Works better with the SOFT than the CAT for me. Works better with tight/new MOLLE than older stretched out stuff.
RE Factor Tactical was the original designer/seller.

He actually sent some emails out notifying some of the guys that there was a knockoff floating around and pointed to the culprit. The shitty thing about tactical gear is someone can take what you did, chance one small feature, and nothing can be done about it. One example was when BlackHawk! copied the successful Diamondback Tactical Go Bag.
Like I said, I know some guys who still have the prototypes and gave input on the design well before the competitor came to market. I bought one because I watched guys wearing a TQ on their back of their belt center-line, which is a really handy place for one based on how I roll.
Also, the product will probably “evolve” again at some point. The owner of RE is serious about taking recommendations for guys in the field. Being a small company, he can change the design at will.
Plus, he tests his own products overseas.
I’m not saying rush out and buy it; but if you decide to, hopefully the above will influence who gets your money.
I’ll try to get some more detailed pics up later.
Thanks for the info.
Right now I use the BFG tourniquet holders on my PC. I have one on either side of my cummerbund for access with either hand. I use to run one center line but I just didn’t like going prone and laying on top of it. This seems to work well for my needs.
On my MOLLE belt I have a HSGI Bleeder pouch with one attached to the outside via rubber bands. I’m looking at changing my belt pouch out to a DARK specifically because I hate jacking with rubber bands and this one has a TQ specific pouch. (http://www.darkangelmedical.com/About.php)
Another option is the ElevenTen Gear holder. (http://www.1110gear.com/eleven-10-kydex-c-a-t-tourniquet-case/?fullSite=1). The issue is that it takes up as much room as a pouch though. It has several different mounting options. The tech lock is great for a LE duty belt setup but this maybe bulkier than you want as you run more low profile than I do. I’m looking at these to replace the BFG’s on my PC as they offer more protection to the TQ and the Velcro on the CAT.
For me, being in a primarily uniformed LE assignment, and being of small enough waist that a gunbelt mounted pouch is not feasible, I have used the ankle tourniquet holster from Tactical Med Solutions with good results. It has held a SOF tactical tourniquet securely during some pretty vigorous activity. It is easily accessible with either hand, and pulls right out without any straps/snaps. I also recommend them for lower profile work where you may not be able to wear full kit, but want to have something on you and available at all times.
The velcro does wear out, I am sure from being stretched over the upper of my work boot on a daily basis, so I usually end up replacing it about every year. For what it is, I find that acceptable.
I also have the OSOE holder on the side of a HSGI blowout kit on my bail out gear, also with a SOFTT. I was not aware of the RE Factor holder, but looking at it here, I will definitely be picking one up soon to try out.
I had an HSGI Bleeder Pouch for a while (the first gen) and also had rubber bands holding my TQ’s on to the side of the Bleeder, and every once in a while I would notice the band had snapped and the TQ was hanging by a thread. That Dark Angel pouch just made it on my list of things to try.
Those Kydex ElevenTen TQ holders would be awesome to mount inside vehicles.
I like the looks of it. Is it Neoprene?
Tac Med Solutions Ankle TQ Holder.
Yes, with the velcro sewn on top, which is why after a while of being stretched over boots over and over, it starts to pull up/curl. That is why I end up replacing them, though I have to say I have never had one fall off on their own, even when they looked pretty rough. There are several velcro strips, and it does a good job of securely attaching and holding the tourniquet.
I have not had a chance yet to try out the wide SOFTT, and I do not know if it will fit in the pouch on the ankle holder. I may have to order one here soon to try that combo out.
