Saw it, great movie. Will buy on DVD and probably watch it one more time in theaters when it’s less crowded. We got a standing ovation at the very end of the movie; I’ve never seen that before.
I saw it last night and thought it was great. The local news did a story on in San Francisco and one theater patron they interviewed said the movie was clearly a propaganda movie from the Bush administration. Whiskey Tango Foxtrot!?!

Watched it last night at the 11:45 showing after riding around trying to find a place that still had tickets. Movie was better than I expected it to be, it was very violent with lots of action. I liked the way the movie was filmed, it’s very dark almost antique looking.
The message of the movie was great and serves as a great reminder with all the things that are going on today. Freedom should never be giving over willingly and should be defended down to the last man no matter what the cost.

I can’t even remotely begin to see how someone could say the movie is Bush propaganda. Liberals make me sick :rolleyes:

Damn so i might actually have to go to the movies huh!! Last movie I saw in the theaters was Black Hawk Down. In other words not enough good movies worth spending the money on.
I’ve seen it twice in the last 24 hours now. Once with the wife and once today by myself.
It is visually stunning and is a good adaptation from the source, the Frank Miller “300” Graphic Novel.
While not true to all aspects of the legends and tales of Herodotus, it was an excellent movie and well worth the trip to the big screen.
I still hate crowds, but it was somewhat pleasing sitting there watching a warrior movie, armed among the sheeple and knowing that some of them didn’t get it.
Very good - I wouldn’t recommend taking children unless they have that understanding and maturity, simply due to the tale and the graphic battle scenes.

I was actually kinda bummed they changed some of the fact of how it all happened and the fact the took the “molon labe” scene out.
It was there, just not as “molon labe” - right before the first battle, when the Spartans are lined in the canyon entrance the Persian commander yells at them to lay down their weapons and Leonidas shouts “Come and get them” in reply - as a spear flies towards the Persian commander…

A truly excellent movie.
Saw the trailer last night (saw Zodiac w/ the Mrs.). If the word I am getting is good this movie might do more for the GWOT than a dozen Bush speeches.

Saw the movie last night. I’ll give it an A-. I never give any movies an A. Great action and it was true enough to the story. Amazing that it was filmed completely in front of a blue screen. I will see it again with my oldest son when he gets back from school mid-week. Highly recommended. Try to catch the 300 details on the History Channel.
