Not since the sunset of the 1994 Clinton ban when I was flooded with emails from people hoping to purchase legal machine guns at “no ban” prices now that the law “went away” have I received so many truly amusing purchase requests.
Here is a sampling, the names have been changed to protect the foolish.
“Hello, you did a transfer for a g19 for me a couple years back. I was asking about ARs and you quoted me $975 for a Colt M4. I’d like to purchase one if that price is still good. Are these in stock? Any discounts if I buy two or more? Do you take credit cards?”
“I’m interested in the Arsenal SGL21 you have listed for $650 [Note: the reference here is for a listing from 2007 I believe]. What is your best cash price?”
“I have a question. Since we probably will get a ban saying nobody can buy or sell the magazines they have, are you planning on offering the magpul magazines at a discount?”
“your ar rifle on gunbrokrr 900 what is best shipped price on colt?” [Note: I haven’t had a Colt rifle listed on Gunbroker since 2004]
“Can you get a 6920 without the block? If these become NFA weapons I plan on just registering mine as a machine gun.”
“I have been seeing AR prices at $1150 on the internet [notice he doesn’t say where] and was wondering if you could do better on price. Do you have any in inventory?”
“Any interest in a trade for a preban DPMS M4?” [Note: reference is to a new Colt rifle 6920 WTS advertisement I had on a local forum from BEFORE the Sandy Hook shooting]
“Saw your listing [Note: same reference to Colt rifles on local forum] for the Colt rifles. I have twp Glock 23s in VG++++++++ condition, any interest in a trade?”
