Titanium Suppressors and ARs

I know the Ti suppressors are not as “heat-durable” as the SST ones, but does anybody have experience with Ti suppressors on ARs?

I do not do mag dumps very often, but can a semi-auto really hurt a Ti suppressor or do you really need full auto to sustain the amount of heat required to ruin a Ti suppressor?

I might do the occational mag dump. Should I steer clear of Ti or would I be ok with it?

YHM offers a lifetime warranty that’s not very restrictive. I have one on my 9.5" blackout and my decision to buy was based on weight, warranty, & cost. It gets hot but I haven’t had any problems with it.

Warranty:
YHM offers a lifetime warranty against defects in material and workmanship and will repair or replace, free of charge, any sound suppressor manufactured by YHM. The Phantom Flash Hider must be installed by a licensed gunsmith or the warranty will be considered null and void. Use of an aftermarket mounting system will result in the warranty being considered null and void. This warranty does not cover damage to the sound suppressor and/or host firearm resulting in whole or in part from criminal or negligent use, improper or careless handling, modifications, defective, improper hand-loaded, or reloaded ammunition, or neglect. This warranty does not cover damage to the sound suppressor or host firearm due to improper installation of the Flash Hider, the Sound Suppressor, or an improperly threaded barrel. The minimum barrel length for which the suppressor is warranted is 10.5 inches with the exception of a system chambered in .300 BLK which is warranted to a minimum barrel length of 8 inches… Any repairs not covered by this warranty will be charged to the owner.

Thanks for the information. That warranty does make it easier to try a Ti suppressor.

Can you tell me a little about your shooting style? Do you ever do any “Agressive” shooting where you would fire a few mags in short succession? Have you ever done a “mag dump” with your Ti YHM? How many rounds do you think you have through it?

About once a month I go to training events where I might shoot a mag and reload and shoot another (that would be a worst case normally). I just am trying to get a feel for how well it will hold up.
