Right now my set up includes a Vltor CASV-M rail with Magpul’s flip up sights on top. This places the sights just a little high if I plant a firm and propper cheek weld. I saw Titan Defence has an interesting sight set that are made for them by Troy. They’re supposed to be a little lower which works a better for guns like the H&K 416, SIG 556 and others. Has anybody tried them? I know Troy makes some good stuff.
I have them on a CAS-V EL/bushmaster ORC and they work great, I’ll try to get some pics up a little later. I can’t say what the “perfect” height is but its damn close for mounting on the elevated rail. Downside is they are too low for any type of co-witness if you mount an optic. If you run straight irons or use them as true backups without the co-witness factor then your good to go. Might work with an Aimpoint T1 on the factory mount, I didn’t try that as my T1 lives on my 6940 in a LaRue mount.
Ryan, thanks for the info. I saw them while researching another H&K project and thought they might be a good option. I really like my Magpul sights, but as I said they sit just a little too high on my CASV. I figured they might be a good upgrade option when my funds permiss. :rolleyes:
