This silencer functions awesome on the H&K 23, but on the glock, even in the shorter configuration the barrel only opens about 1/4"… quiet thought :-(.
This is with sub-sonic 9mm BTW.
Higher pressure required to make this go semi?

Factory gun, who’s barrel ?
How is the suppressor setup ?
Barrel is a SilencerCo aftermarket.
Piston is the AAC with proper threads for the above barrel.
Barrel and silencer brand spanking new.
Ammunition most likely the culprit, handloads doing 900 Ft/sec with Hornady 147 XTP’s.
A 15# spring would probably fix it, or factory ammo.

I need to expand on this a bit. There are a lot of factors to consider, a spring change should be down near a last resort on a stock gun. Im running a g23 conversion w/rmr and i believe the extra weight of rmr and 40 slide was causing weak ejection. Lighter spring seemed to help.
- Make sure the gun/barrel are “broken in” (couple hundred rounds). New barrels can be tight or have small burrs. A few hundred rounds should eliminate any of that.
- Make sure everything is cleaned and lubed.
- Make sure your piston is lubed. I use white lithium grease (see what your silencer manufacture recommends). When you pull on the can(while installed on pistol), it should slide foreward smoothly. Make sure the piston/housing is tight.
- When installing the piston, once you install the silencer, make sure it moves in and out, and that you didnt tighten the piston teeth on top of the housing. If it doesnt move away from the gun, loosen the piston, turn the silencer till You hear the click/snap of the piston engaging the housing.
Factory 147+ gr subs should run fine. If you want to use weaker handloads and isolate the problem to those, a spring change should get you where you need to be.
