Timing the cut

I have an AK-105 clone that I want to SBR.

Because of multiple factors I do not want to SBR the rifle at this time. (multiple future moves are coming - and I don’t know if I will end up in “enemy territory” permanantly or for a short period of time)

Can one apply for the tax stamp, and then not complete the cut until a later date? I know you must have the stamp before you cut, but at what point is the other side of that cutoff? Is there an experation date?

No expiration date. I personally wouldn’t even wait to do a cut down if it worked out that way. You just can’t build the gun until you’re approved.
