I just got back from a multi gun match in Fairbanks. It was really two matches. 1 on Saturday and one on Sunday. I got first on Saturday but only because my friend got DQ’s when his pistol fell out of his holster while running. If that had not have happened he would have beat me. He beat me on the second match. This was a match put on by a new match director. So somethings were a little different than the norm. But it was fun. There was a zombie stage where we fired more than 80 rounds into paper target heads only. I got to shoot a texas star at 100 yards with a rifle. That was a blast. I did pretty good on it too. Look at the end of the last video. Pistol on the star and some paper targets. The first day was all rifle except for the last stage. The second day was 2 huge stages with all three weapons.

Yea it did. I had 2 A’s on each target as well as a few C and D hits.
The targets were just past the barricade. I did some thing similar in my match that I hosted on Memorial Day weekend in my town. I got the idea from watching your videos. My Nordic mag extension cost me that stage. You can see it malfunction. After the stage I looked at the mag and the follower was stuck where the mag meets the coupler.

when you shot the targets by the barrels in one of your first videos. I put that in a stage and found it was easier to just point shoot. So I did it at this match as well. Also it was more of point shooting vs spray and pray. After I went everyone copied me.
I should rephrase. I got the idea for a stage from your videos. I made the stage up and found that it was easier to point shoot the targets when at 3 yards or less vs using my optic. At least full size USPSA targets. Using forward grip you can point with your support hand thumb. I ran the stage in my match like this. When I went to Fairbanks I used the same technique on the stages over the wall targets. Also we ran this twice. Once as part of a smaller stage and then the first 2 stages were combined for a mega stage. In the mega stage (3rd video) at 13 seconds into it you can see one of the 2 targets I was shooting at. They were very close.

The first one on stage 1 was a magazine malf. The follow stuck in the mag body where the coupler joins the P mag.
The second one was a misfire. My fault. I used my practice ammo which I reloaded using mixed brass. I had a miss fire with the stuff before and did not want to use it. But we fired an extra stage and I was running low on ammo. I hoped for the best and got nailed with a miss fire. When I inspected the round the primer was way high. I inspect my ammo after I load it for high primers. By the mixed brass comment what I think happened was I got a piece of brass that had been reloaded once too many times and the primer pocket was loose. The primer back out part way during recoil and when the firing pin hit it it had to try to drive it back into the pocket causing the miss fire. My match ammo is always made with once fired Lake city brass. I should have stuck to my match ammo. I did end up buying some X193 from Sportsmans Warehouse that night so I would have enough ammo for the next day. One thing bad about this match is we never got a round count. I expected to fire 300 rounds tops and we fired nearly 500 rifle.
The gun ran fine through out the match. I still need to test my 48 round mag some more and fine out what caused the follower to stick. Up until this match it has ran fine.
