Edit: Was thinking how a weapon was taken into the police station. When I sell a regulated firearm with-in state, it goes through MSP. They are tighter than Ft. Knox.

Edit1: Police said the shooting occurred around 5:30 a.m. when a suspect, who was under arrest in connection with a domestic violence-related incident, got into as violent struggle with officers at the station.

The suspect “obtained a firearm” during the struggle, police said. Officers then returned fire, killing the suspect.

While I didn’t read the story, to most of us the idea seams outside the realm of possibility. Then I remind my self of complacency, most police officers that I am friends with are not aware that they are at war. My wife had a woman taking baths in the restroom in her substation. So I guess that one example shows how easy it is, to get in.

I tell her don’t hang out there change and leave, be aware of your surroundings. If its true I pray for them, and wonder why so many have to die before people choose to take action. “written in the blood or others”

It sounds like an officer was disarmed in a struggle with tragic consequences.

To anybody here who remembers my incident with the animal who created a nightmare when I asked him to turn his music down, that took place in Gloucester Twp. I know officers there and one of the minor injuries was one of them.

It has essentially become an extension of south Philly with some residential areas holding up ok but almost all of the townhomes and apartment complexes have gone to shit.

That is exactly what happened:

Police said the shooting occurred around 5:30 a.m. when a suspect, who was under arrest in connection with a domestic violence-related incident, got into as violent struggle with officers at the station.

The suspect “obtained a firearm” during the struggle, police said. Officers then returned fire, killing the suspect.

Three more cops shot with an assault pistol is how VPC will score this one…

Glad it didn’t end more tragicly.

Maybe we should disarm the police and this wouldn’t have happened. After all, it’s for THEIR children.

How embarrassing, in your own"house" no less.

Embarrassing and unfortunately not uncommon. Most LEO’s probably know at least one colleague who has been disarmed. I know 2 including one who was shot with his own weapon. There have been 2 separate instances of police or corrections officers being disarmed by their prisoners in the hospitals where I have worked. One prisoner managed to wound a nurse with the officer’s weapon before escaping.

School me on duty holsters, the following are my assumptions.

I would assume they are Level II or III. Therefore for the prep to dislodge the weapon from her holster, the officer would have to be in some docile state. The prep did work for NJ Department of Corrections maybe knew the type of holster and method to gain access to her weapon.

As stated previously, they are my assumptions.
