Thread pitch of A2 front sight post?

How much does it move in one revolution?

From what I remember, one notch should equal 1" at 100 yards for rifle-length sight radiuses. For a carbine, it’s probably more like 1.25". Provided you have A2 sights (4 notches), a full rotation on a rifle would equal 4" of vertical movement at 100 yards.

Anyone want to confirm this?

Thanks for the info. I was looking for the actual pitch of the thread which I read on TOS that it was 8-36. Can anyone confirm this?
