Hi am getting interested in building a recon type rifle in a few month this will be my first if you can call it a build more like a put together. But here is what I had in mind so far I was wondering if anyone can tell me if I am missing something or should add anything. This rifle will need to work every time I squeeze the trigger not necessarily SHTF gun but … has to work either punching paper or punching flesh.
Upper
-BCM MID-Length w/ Daniel Defense 12.0 Lite Rail
-BCM or LMT bolt carrier group whichever I get a hold of first would prefer the BCM though.
-BCM charging handle w/ Badger Tac latch.
-Larue combo Optic/Mount Trijicon Accupoint 1.25-4x24 w/ Amber recticle (purchasing from larue if someone has a cheaper suggestion for this optic with quality mount please advise)
-Troy BUIS front/rear
Lower
-Whatever quality lower I can find these days, Spikes, CMMG, Lmt, anything at a reasonable price, what is reasonable these days right.
-G&R Tactical LPK opting for ambidextrous safety if possible
-Rock River Arms NM 2 stage trigger
-Magpul Miad
-LMT Sopmod
-CAR buffer
-Maybe a Redimag, depends on how heavy the thing is up to this point.
-
Vickers Victory Sling, some mount for the rail.
-
Lots of ammo, (wishful thinking)
Sounds good right, the only choice I am unsure about is the optic, hearing mixed reviews about it so I guess it is a personal preference thing I’ll see if I like it or not. Any advise is greatly appreciated, thanks in advance
