Is anyone else getting pounded by this storm (Ida)? I’ve been through hurricanes that aren’t as bad as this. It really sucks.

Not pounded but we are in our third straight day of rains and it’s supposed to continue through tomorrow.
The winds have not been what I would have thought, but that’s fine by me.

Orlando Fla here, nothing but clouds and rain for 2 days. Little bit on the cool side today but since I am used to sweating at 6am outside this is nice !!

Yeah, it’s kinda bad out there.
Most of the roads have sections of standing water on them. Cars are hitting them and hydroplaning. Couple this with gusty wind.
I passed a truck-car accident on I-64, and fire trucks and ambulances are all over the place.
Lotta rain, lotta wind.

72 with a few clouds here in Vegas… one of the coldest days of the year. Although it is supposed to start getting a little cooler throughout the weekend.

First snow here in N/E Ca. Couple of inch’s on the ground. I see an oppertunity to change training direction, and change out gear. Snow shoes, extra fuel, bivy bag extra ground pad, and extra winter gear. Extra snatch strap, and extra high lift jack. Spare case of MRE’s for citizens in need. Winters are llllllllllllllllllllong out here.

On my side of the bay, Poquoson VA is calling for a tidal flood higher than Isabel.
When Isabel hit, Poquoson was hit hard, lots of flooding and houses destroyed.
A lot of them have been lifted and the wind isn’t as bad, but I certainly can’t go anywhere, but neither can the water, it’s just getting deeper.
I love telling stuff like that to people back home in the northeast. Ha.

It took va_dinger almost 5 hours to get to work this morning because of flooding.

Many of us enjoy the change of seasons, especially this time of year. I know I sure do. Wouldn’t have it any other way.
After all, what is Christmas with no snow and temps in the 70’s?
