This day in history May 24th "What hath God wrought?"

On May 24, 1844, while in Washington DC, Samuel F.B. Morse sent the historic first telegraph message to Alfred Vail at a railroad station in Baltimore, Maryland: “What hath God wrought!” The telegraph system subsequently spread across America and the world.

Some pretty cool history. I starting working in the fiber optic industry a couple years back, it just amazes me how far we have come in communication technology and I’m sure I’m just scraping the surface.
