I have a nicely worn Colt 1991 A1 that I picked up here off the EE about a year ago for 500 bucks. It has shot great, shoots better than I can but I’m looking for that “custom” gun. Wilson Combat will do custom work on customer supplied pistols (Colts, Springfield, Kimber and a Smith and Wesson). So I called and spoke to one of their reps today and came up with a laundry list of things to do.
Install tactical Combat sights - 105
Improved front sight post - 35
Checkered front strap 30 lpi - 175
Extended thumb safety - 65 (includes safety and install)
High Ride Beavertail grip safety - 135
Deluxe Trigger job series 80 - 110
Deluxe commander hammer - 65
A2 deluxe sear fitted - 35

Also considering a custom barrel and frame to slide fit

So what do you guys think? Is it worth it? I have also considered giving Bob Miller a call as well. I know I can buy on off the sheld springfield loaded but this kind of seems fun to do.
ETA: Items it red are things I’m willing to do without to save some on cost. Also added “with” in Custom Barrel “with” bushing fitted.
