Theme Song for Spectre Bond Movie Released: "The Writing's On The Wall"

Sam Smith’s theme song for the brand-new James Bond movie, Spectre, was released earlier today. I don’t like it. Sam has a falsetto voice that’s especially bad on the high notes.

Run the player to play the song.

Personally, I think Casino Royale, Daniel Craig, and Chris Cornell’s “You know my name” were the best Bond movie, Bond, and theme song, respectively.

Sweet.

Okay. That sucked.

I liked it.

The guy may be a fruit, but he’s got a great voice.

Bigtime!!!

Hope the movie is as good as Skyfall was!!!

Agreed on the above. “You Know My Name” is my favorite Bond theme, followed by Tina Turner’s “Goldeneye” (mostly for its opening take on the barrel). Adele’s “Sky Fall” was also pretty good.
Craig is my favorite Bond as well. Skyfall and Diamonds are Forever were my favorite films, and the other 2 Craig movies rate highly. I also liked Timothy Dalton as a somewhat reluctant hero Bond. Brosnan, meh.

That said, I didn’t mind this new song. I don’t like all of Sam Smith’s songs, but he does have an impressive voice and range. I’ll be in line for the movie.

I like the SkyFall song too. I think that Bond songs should be sung by a woman- and falsetto doesn’t cut it.

I can’t believe that they are already talking about who the next Bond will be…

I do like that Craig Bond. A bit arrogant, definitely flawed and not always right. A bit of the American reluctant hero.

I think that the perfect way for a Bond to exit would be for him to be talking to M, or someone, and he says something like “All I’ve ever done is fight and fight and what do I have to show for it?” And M would look at him and say “Imagine if you hadn’t fought and fought- how would you feel then?”

Sean Connery was the BEST Bond.

Plus, in real life he was a tough bastard, not just movie tough, but the real deal.

Wow. That nails it. You put into words something I’ve thought about for years (for something different). Well done, sir.

Can’t really blame people for wondering about the next Bond. Only three movies in and they already have Craig doing the ‘I’m too old for this shit,’ schtick.
