Ukrainian fighters from a nationalist voluntary regiment “Azov” sent a video of an execution of a Novorossia fighter to militia fighters and hackers from “Cyberberkut”.

"According to the authors of this video, the footage was filmed near the village of Shirokino, and “all the separatists, traitors of Ukraine and militia fighters will be treated the same”, - “Cyberberkut” quoted the message from “Azov”.

The footage shows how several punishers tied their victim to the cross, stuck the cross into the ground, and set fire to the wooden structure.

So, between these dudes, ISIS, and the cartels…the 21st century doesn’t appear to be any less devoid of gutless, animals than eras past.

What I always find interesting about this type of behavior…none of these scumbags EVER have the balls to do this shit without wearing ninja masks, and having a bunch of their buddies around pumping them up.

The video is pretty grisly, but…this is the world we live in…

History provides plenty of irrefutable proof of immense blood shed. However, some people, due to cultural or religious beliefs, refuse to move beyond the dark ages, and for that, they should be held accountable.

That is the one positive thing about the time in which we live. At least these days this type of behavior is considered appalling to much of the civilized world. In the past, this was the civilized world’s M.O.! Torture and genocide wasn’t considered wrong, it just sucked for the person on the receiving end. But the victims probably didn’t have any huge problem intrinsically with it, as they would do the same thing if the roles were reversed. The general rule of the ancient world was treat your enemy as inhumanly cruel as you could so that he would be afraid to face you. The only civilization that had any concept of human rights were the Ancient Persians, and even they were brutal by today’s standards.

The scary thing is that, while it’s good that the civilized world today is appalled by stuff like this, we’ve also lost the balls to contain and/or destroy the people who do it. Now, I’m not saying we keep sending troops into every hellhole in the world. Typically, all we do replace one genocidal asshole with another. But when they make the mistake of poking us, we need to be willing to turn them to dust. With people like this, you don’t have to be savage and brutish, but you do have to be merciless.

Right now the world’s premier conflict involves Muslims fighting Muslims… because that happens to be the predominant religion in the Middle East.

I probably should have used some kind of emoticon, but “The Religion of Peace strikes again!” is just idiotic blather that usually accompanies some atrocity in the Middle East. It’s a joke… like, “Thanks, OBAMA!” when your favorite restaurant is closed or your shoe becomes untied.

When the Narcos drop off a basket full of heads in Old Mexico, typically that phrase is not heard.

All of the world’s major religions are peaceful, but they are also powerful because people can be convinced of spiritual righteousness in pursuing their goals (or usually the goals of some other).

Part of our foreign policy has been to keep that region of the world broke, struggling, and desperate. Our past actions have promoted this.

When terror strikes, too often Americans don’t understand the why… or they pretend not to.

Until we adopt a foreign policy that lifts up the region, or leaves it alone to develop as it would, we’ll always be saying, “Gosh, where did this come from?” as the dust settles.

Today, we would watch the Italian military carry out their crimes on youtube and someone would start a petition on change.org.

(…and we’d still do nothing because it’s Africa. Just like Sudan.)
