The Threat We Face....

http://frontpagemag.com/2013/david-horowitz/the-threat-we-face-2/

There is a marked difference between the radicals of the Sixties and the radical movement Obama is part of. In the Sixties, as radicals we said what we thought and blurted out what we wanted. We wanted a revolution, and we wanted it now. It was actually very decent of us to warn others as to what we intended. But because we blurted out our goal, we didn’t get very far. Americans were onto us. Those who remained on the left when the Sixties were over, learned from their experience. They learned to lie. The strategy of the lie is progressives’ new gospel. It is what the progressive bible — Saul Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals — is all about. Alinsky is the acknowledged political mentor to Obama and Hillary, to the service and teacher unions, and to the progressive rank and file. Alinsky understood the mistake Sixties’ radicals had made. His message to this generation is easily summed up: Don’t telegraph your goals; infiltrate their institutions and subvert them; moral principles are disposable fictions; the end justifies the means; and never forget that your political goal is always power.

An SDS radical wrote in the Sixties: “The issue is never the issue. The issue is always the revolution.” The Alinsky version is this: The issue is never the issue; the issue is always power: How to wring power out of the democratic process, how turn the process into an instrument of progressive control. How to use it to fundamentally transform the United States of America — which is exactly what Barack Obama warned he would do on the eve of his election.

The chosen legislative instrument to begin this transformation was Obamacare. It was presented as an act of charity, a plan to cover the uninsured. That was the “issue” as they presented it. But the actual goal of Obamacare’s socialist sponsors was a “single payer system” – government healthcare — which would put the state in control of the lives of every American, man, woman and child. That is the reason that none of the promises made about Obamacare was true, beginning with his campaign lie that Obamacare government health care was not a program he would support. Obamacare will not cover 30 million uninsured Americans, as Obama and the Democrats said it would; Obamacare will not lower costs, as they promised it would; Obamacare will deprive many Americans of their doctors and healthcare plans, as they assured everyone it would not; Obamacare is a new tax, as they swore it wouldn’t be. All these promises Obama and the Democrats made were false because they were only a camouflage for their real goal actual goal, which was universal control.

They have successfully corrupted “everything” in our once mighty society, everything! They have succeeded beyond their wildest dreams in corrupting our youth.

As much as many of you may hate hearing that truth, I promise you that such hatred falls woefully short of the hatred and revulsion my generation feel as we are forced to watch “once proud America’s” youth debase themselves at the prompting of these Marxist vermin, all while deluding themselves that they are somehow “evolving” past their shameful, primitive roots, towards some nonsensical, euphorian utopia…

What a colossal lie…

I met David Horowitz and he’s an idiot.

Let me recap everything he said and put it into a actually relevant context:

“In the aftermath of the 60’s politicians learned to lie. The American Dream was over and in order to retain a grip on power, those who managed to retain it learned how to manipulate the minds of the American people.”

Get over the Left vs. Right lie (see there’s that word again) that they (those in power) are selling to you. It’s a means to control you, and until you realize that everyone in power is lying to you, and that none of them have your interests in mind you will continue to walk lock step with the path they have chosen for you.

The fact that there are so many otherwise smart people on this forum, but yet they still seem to think there is a difference between the “red” and “blue” of the federal government is mind boggling.

There is a marked difference between left and right. However, the current institution has made the similiarities between Dem and Rep far more than the differences.

It lays out the size and scope of the problem quite well. The question is are enough people aware of it and motivated to do something to halt and reverse the problem.

I am totally aware of the first fact that you point out… As well as the second.

But you currently live in a Kleptocracy, where the concepts of traditional Left vs. Right politics are only really being discussed among the citizenry and the talking heads who have been put in place to continue the illusion.

I will be more then happy to sit back and debate and label me and you and all of our neighbors once we have removed the current blight on humanity from its current high horse.

Our society isn’t ready for its freedom, or to take back what is ours. Rather we prefer to sit back and split hairs about semantics and labels while those in charge pilfer what is rightfully ours.

Damn, well said. Agreed completely.

The left vs. right thing is a way to elicit emotional reactions out of ordinary citizens so that we align with a political party and forgive the theft of wealth on the favored team’s watch. Their goal is to create an ideologically polarized populace so that we’ll fight amongst ourselves over issues of morality, religion, celebrity, and ethnicity while the same people (the Tim Geitner, Lloyd Blankfein, James Dimon, and Larry Summers ruling class of the world) parasitically extract money from our pockets. Their vampiric thirst for wealth has no ethical boundary, and the more distracted and divided we are as a nation, the easier it is for them to perform their deeds upon us. Thus, that is their goal. Divide and conquer.

No there is not. There are too few who know, and even less who care enough to do something.

Theoretically, yes.

Unfortunately in current US politics, they’re both shades of the same authoritarian philosophy. They simply look “left” and “right” when compared to one another. When compared to the actual overall spectrum of political philosophy. they are remarkably similar.

That’s why both sides are scared right now of the Tea Party; they upset the ‘equilibruim’…

The left right paradigm is a distraction and used by those in power to distract and divide us and get us at each others throats, while a select few at the top steal even more and make it to where they control more of our lives than before.

There are people in both parties that want the average citizen to have little or no power over their daily lives. Some GOP politicians will SAY they are for freedom or “the little guy” but are truly out to protect the systems that DC has established and the people be damned.

Great post Mac. Rule by thieves is the name of the game. Look at the personal wealth of politicians prior to office, during and after and see if it adds up. Nevada’s Harry Reid is a great example of some very shady dealings that have amassed him a fortune.

Kleptocracy: government by those who seek chiefly status and personal gain at the expense of the governed.

Great posts in this thread. The Right VS. Left paradigm is just a charade for the most part. That is why libertarians and tea partiers are hated so much by both sides.

Especially at the federal level. State Governments still have divisions and distinctions between the two partys- not much though.

I can tell you that when CO has had Republican majority’s in the past they didn’t go ape shit and pass extreme right wing legislation against the wishes of the constituency.

But when the Democrats have a majority…THEY GO OFF THE RESERVATION CRAZY and ram home every piece of BS far left legislation they can against the wishes of the constituency.

Just take a close look at Colorado’s last legislative session, all of it- not just the anti-gun/rights stuff; and see the lunacy we just got f’d with- ALL courtesy of the DEMOCRATS.

At the Federal level you have maybe 5-10 good politicians (Regardless of R or D) and the rest are just establishment dicks who will better themselves and screw the rest of us over at any chance they can get, all while shouting the same lies that they will represent OUR best intrests.

Speaking of “threats we face”…

Here is an article about New York Mayor and wannabe world dictator Michael Bloomberg in Time Magazine:

-Snippet from article #1-

In 2013, Bloomberg plans to spend about $400 million on pet causes, which at 1.3% of his fortune is barely a rounding error. His money flows out through a complex web of nonprofit foundation work and private entities, often in chunks so small or anonymous that they are difficult to track. He has spent more than $100 million to genetically engineer a better mosquito, in the hopes of eliminating malaria, while closer to home, he’s involved in setting fracking policy, supporting Planned Parenthood and passing gay-marriage referendums. In local, state and federal elections around the country, he is spending millions more to back candidates who would further gun control and education reform and defeat those who oppose them.

“A lot of elected officials are afraid to back controversial things. I’m not afraid of that,” he said. “You’re not going to hurt my business, and if you are, I don’t care. I take great pride in being willing to stand up.”

I would say Bloomberg is high on the list of threats we face, he is an enemy of civil rights, liberty and a blight on this nation.

Here is a Guns.com areticle on the times article/Bloomberg:

Bloomberg on Colorado recall: “What do you mean we lost?”

A classy portrait of NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg on the cover of Time Magazine.
The two Democratic state senators who lost their jobs last month in recall elections for endorsing strict gun control initiatives in Colorado are nothing more than sacrificial lambs in New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s mission to reform the nation’s gun laws.

While Bloomberg didn’t precisely use the words “sacrificial lambs,” he essentially said as much in an interview with Time Magazine, when he rejected the notion that the recall was a sign that his side had lost in Colorado.

“What do you mean we lost?” Bloomberg told Time. “I’m sorry for those two people. But we won in Colorado. On to the next state.”

“On to the next state”…

^He wants to impliment his will on ALL of us, and he certainly has the $$$ to make a good go of it.

**** Bloomberg!

I don’t think they are afraid of the Tea Party - their major backers are…

The Koch Brothers

They are by NO MEANS staunch defenders of liberty.

Can you say Managed Opposition?

Sure you can.
