I picked up an M&P9 FS today and the trigger is different and better than previous iterations. The spent casing envelope is dated 3/9/12. There is very little pre travel before the break and as your pressing thru the break it is quite smooth and noticeably lighter than older M&P’s that i have tried.
The reset is not as forceful or tactile as a Glock, but its short and much more distinct than in the past. I am happy with the trigger as is and i wont be needing to put in an Apex upgrade. Strangely, i recently dry fired a 5’’ CORE pro series and it still had the indistinct reset.
