The RS AKS 30mm Scope Mount

Pushing forward the next most popular model people have asked me to look into producing is a 30mm mount for both AK’s and SVD/PSL’s. This is the initial artwork towards the goal.

This will not take place until the AKM AK Aimpoint Mount is released and selling successfully.
I personally want to mount a TR-24 on my PSL, and will be heading in that direction initially. Any oposition?

Does the 24 require as much eye relief as the 21? If so; you might have some issues with using it on a shorter stock

The model is showing an AK attachment and top cover. Those will need to change to PSL or SVD specific models. I have not even checked the eye relief yet, but I am confident it can be worked out.

Looks good!

I think it needs to be a few inches forward. TR24 needs 4 inches of eye relief in order to work best. Most higher end variable scopes need between 3.5 and 4 inches of eye relief.

So the top cover is part of the mount? Meaning you have to take your current top cover off to install the mount?

It’s a side rail mount, I’m sure the cover is just there for illustrating the scopes relative position on the weapon.

If it’s like the aimpoint mount, then as I understand it, no, the top cover and bolt will be able to be removed without moving the scope.

Correct. This is a side mounted optic- not a replacement cover etc. If you have a rail it slides on then clamps.

Ahh, gotcha. That suddenly becomes much more interesting to me.

I think this might just be the ticket for my 3-guy AK74!
