I forgot those as well. I think Daredevil beats out Fantastic 4. I can’t believe I forgot that garbage.
Man of Steel was pretty damn good. The rest of your post I agree with though.
Ray Stevenson was good as Frank Castle/The Punisher but that movie was flat out awful…
Catwoman is the worst superhero movie there is.
I saw Man of Steel. I thought it was full of sound and fury, signifying nothing: Two-to-three hours of mopey BS and gratuitous violence where Superman allows the villains to smash Smallville and Metropolis before he realizes that, “I punch it with my fists,” solves all his problems in that movie.
MoS was supposed to be the Superman movie for people who don’t like Superman. I didn’t like Superman before, I didn’t like MoS, and I still don’t like Superman.
Most superhero movies aren’t very good and most of the better ones are, taken on their own merits, merely OK, but still remembered solely because of the superhero and/or the supervillain.
The Amazing Spider Man movies look awful so I will not go watch them. I liked the first two that came out years ago.
The trend of coming out with crap movies continues…Do not get me started on 300 Rise of an Empire.
The amazing Spider-Man movie wasn’t bad at all…it was more serious than the tobey Maguire Spider-Man movie…I think the new kid is more believable as Peter Parker/ Spider-Man for some of the reasons mentioned…he actually looks like and acts like a kid, instead of a twenty something playing a kid…did anybody really believe that James Franco was a nerdy kid (which is what Harry Osbourne is)? I think they’ve cast the current kid better…I can absolutely see him getting picked on, can’t you?
I will go see the new movie with my two sons when it comes out and I expect I will be entertained by it
I agree Nolan’s Batman movies were by leaps and bounds the best comic movies ever made (although the last one was a significant drop off…I like Batman movies to actually have Batman in them for more than 1/4 of the movie)
Of the Marvel movies, I think the two Captain America movies have been the best, followed by the first Iron Man, and the Avengers…
But these are comic movies…I’m not expecting Dr Zhivago…the fact that we got a performance close to that out of Heath Ledger for the Joker was a testament to how good that was
Also: I feel like Dark Knight wasn’t as good a movie as people think and say it was. I feel like they say that because it was Heath Ledger’s penultimate movie.
(I also don’t think The Lord of the Rings movies were very good. I enjoyed all three of them, the one The Hobbit movie I’ve seen, and all three of Nolan’s Batman movies. I just don’t think they’re very good.)
And for a summation on all that is wrong (and that I agree with) with the first The Amazing Spider-Man movie: Link.
Lord of the Rings suck. I definitely agree with you on Man of Steel. The only person I liked in that movie was Russell Crowe.
The new Batman’s were every bit as good as people say, and then some. The acting perfection, the roles were cast brilliantly, and the scripts were awesome. Though I think The Dark Knight Rises was the best of the three but most would disagree. I know one thing, it will be hard pressed by anyone to top them. They weren’t just great comic/superhero movies, they were great in pretty much every aspect. Probably some of the best movies made within the last 15 years. The new Captain America got fairly close, but no cigar.
Except that The Dark Knight suffered from The Return of the King-itis with about three places where the movie felt like it was going to end… but kept on going because reasons.
Blasphemy !!! Marvel all the way ![]()
S.M.
I agree with you on this, the villans were pathetic.
Eva Green’s tits were worth the price of admission alone.
Agreed. Watching them bounce in 3D made it worth seeing.
Right? It was like the guy playing Jigsaw was trying to channel Cagny but it was total crap.
I had no desire to see this movie but now all of a sudden I do… ![]()
I really don’t like movies.
MovieBob Reviews The Amazing Spider Man 2.
Short version: It sounds like crap. (Of course, some people seem to have enjoyed the first one, so…)
Wasnt the original point of Spiderman to have a small nerdy kid get superpowers and be able to have superhuman abilities in his small frame?

OP,
Did you like 300?
Spiderman is a weird ass character anyway. Since when does a spider have great agility or reflexes?
Should have just named him anything else, even Tittyboy for that matter.
