I just picked up my hk45c and noticed that the rear sights have shifted!! How do I fix this and has this ever happend to anyone else? Also I have no idea how this happend I don’t remember bumping them, any ideas?

Could it have been drifted at the factory for POA/POI, and you just noticed it now? I’ve never had this problem. I have seen sights drifted pretty far right or left for POA/POI adjustments. A bump or a smack should not knock fixed sights off.

I must say I’m confused.
When you say “just picked up” are you saying that you just purchased it or that you literally just hefted the thing into your hand?
Was the sight not shifted before and is now, or did you not take notice of the position of the sight at all before now?
Is there a set screw in the sight? Is that set screw properly tightened? Does the sight move freely with light pressure?

So I looked closer at the sight…I noticed a chip on the left post (is that the right term) and I rememberd I dropped it while I was in the bathroom at work a couple days ago.
Weeeellll, the good news. I get to pick up a new set of sights!!! I’ve had my eye on some straight eights

This is surprising to me, when I was changing out the sights on my HK45s I thought I’d need a hydraulic press to get them off the slide.
I bought a set of meprolights for mine. It was so impossible to remove the factory rear i broke my sight pusher. I later just sent the gun to Heinie.

was it one of those “universal” pushers or an HK specific pusher?
Yah, it was a fluke for sure…that’s just my luck
The good news is I got it fixed for free at a shop about 5 mns from my house. Good guys there, other than the fact they were dead set on selling my wife a revolver for CC and a shotgun for HD and didn’t want to show anything else…but I got a gun in her hand and my sight fixed for free…I say that’s a win
