The Armory is expanding

For you local’s The Armory is expanding soon. The computer place closed up and The Armory is moving in there, they will have at least 5 times the space.

Bill is really interested in ideas if you want to stop by. He expects to be in by March something.

I remember Marie saying something about that in December. They have been in that corner shop for a long time. I think I was in high school when they opened!

Its good that they are expanding, it gets REALLY crowded! More space to stock product for me to spend money on.

Good news.

It’s not too convenient from the peninsula, but I did make the trip over there once or twice. That’s a lot of stuff crammed into a small space!

This is good news but in an earlier conversation with Bill he was complaining about the rent for a bigger space so I’m worried that if he has to pay more rent he’ll raise prices.

Well, they also have wharehouse space (I assume that they’re renting) because they don’t have enough room in the current digs. Alot of stuff in the warehouse just sits there and doesn’t get sold or displayed because of space.

I bought four mags for my Romak-3 for less than I could find anywhere on the net. But because they had them all in the warehouse, you would never have known they had them. They didn’t have any of it on display in the shop because of space limitations. I bought one of those Norinco 1897 trench guns from them and had to return the next day to get it because it was in the warehouse. Alot of sales get lost in there because of the jumble of stuff and having product sitting in the warehouse when it could be in front of customers.

I think moving to the bigger place will obviously cost more, but it will gain them more sales. It will also drive down the costs of having capital tied up in product that is sitting in a warehouse instead of on a shelf.

One thing that place needs is more space. As long as they organize it…

I don’t think he’ll raise prices, the volume should be relative to rent increase.

He wants to expand his AR market. I was making suggestions on having varying levels of product to match the market levels.

Stop by and chat with him, I’m sure he’ll be receptive of ideas to guide his.

I hope not. I really do like Bill & Marie and I try to support them. I’ll continue to do so and I hope you can help them out with more AR parts and stuff. I would love to walk in and buy the parts (quality parts) for my builds.
