The H2 channel did a real good documentary yesterday on it. I have been waiting for this for some time. Lots of good actors, should be good.
GOD BLESS TEXAS!
Hoooah, I’m house bound do to the constant and unending rain.
I got my yard done early this AM and I’m currently watching “Band of Brothers” on HBO. I will switch over when it ends.
Luckily I planned ahead and have plenty of Beer and a quart of chili.
TEXAS- enough said.
Well lately it’s been Texas Flooding around here. Another turd floater moving through North Texas right now. Hopefully the storms don’t cut off power so we can watch the show tonight.
Have a tornado watch called for Lakeway NE to Georgetown.
Now they are calling a warning as funnel spotted near Georgtown.
We had a nado watch saturday. Hailed this morning. Nice day now
hot as shit. Gotta love west Texas. Grilling some steaks now. Got a nice breeze blowing under the shade. Cold beer in-hand
We’re getting off and on hard rain here in NE San Antonio by Randolph AFB. Looking forward to seeing Texas Rising tonight!
Take Care,
Buzz
Ya know, I was just thinking about that as I sit hear listening to the thunder outside.
I’ll join 'ya.
Pop one open! Looking forward to the show tonight. About time HC has something good on. “Pawn stars” blows balls…

:jester: …
Texas Rising and Ranger Creek the show and drink of Monday nights.
After watching the first night of this series (…and praying we did not float away) I was really disappointed.
Did anyone else FROM Texas think, “where the hell did they get this setting…it does not even remotely LOOK like our state?”
The setting just blew it for me. There was loads of dust everywhere and tons of high, rocky crags and hardly any trees. Hello! San Antonio and the South Central Texas landscape is rolling hills and TONS of trees! It looked as if they filmed this in Southern Arizona or Northern Mexico and looked NOTHING like Texas.
They have done this in many other films, which does NOt make it right - not all of Texas looks like Big Bend!
Sorry…that ruined the series for me. If you are not from here…it probably does not bother you but it made the series look odd…sorry!
For a series premier I was quite underwhelmed then again it may have just been the fact every 10 minutes I got an emergency broadcast so I was never really able to make that connection. Ended up giving up with 10 minutes left in the show because of the interruptions.
I believe it was filmed in Mexico. Yes the setting was wrong, but that didn’t bother me as much as the dialog and the delivery of said dialog. I
turned it off after an hour and felt like I had waited too long to do so.
