Terrorists Vow to Kidnap or Kill Prince Harry in Iraq

Terrorists have vowed to kidnap or kill Prince Harry when he fights in Iraq, it is reported.

The 22-year-old is due to be sent out in May with colleagues from the Blues and Royal regiment.

Threats have been posted on extremist Web sites since his deployment was revealed, The Sun says.

One message said: “Prince Harry will be sent to Iraq to be killed by Muslims.”

Another added: “May Allah give him what he deserves — like his fellow crusaders.”

Army officials fear the Prince will be paraded on television if he is kidnapped.

Harry was ‘over the moon’ at his deployment A Blues and Royals source told the paper: “Officially Harry is being treated just like any other soldier but in reality everyone knows how desperate the insurgents out there will be to get their hands on him.”

Internet terror expert Neil Doyle was quoted as saying: "Harry would be the ultimate prize for one of these insurgent groups.

“He would be worth his weight in gold in propaganda terms if killed or captured.”

From the end of May, the prince will be patrolling in Scimitar armored reconnaissance vehicles in Maysan.

Harry will this week pose as a hooded hostage in a special training exercise, the paper says.

His men will use tear gas and stun grenades to free him.

More than 100 British soldiers have been killed since the 2003 invasion.

Like the saying goes, there’s a fine line between bravery and stupidity.

Now I’m not questioning his bravery, but with all the political problems his death, or worse, capture, could cause, I wonder if he has really thought this through?

No, but last time I checked, no one here has admitted to be in line to the throne of England. If you or I got killed or captured, we wouldn’t possibly throw and entire country into turmoil.

not to take away from this young mans bravery, nor do i wish to grandstand him, however he has a younger brother so i agree with quoted poster being that there is someone to take the throne if the need arises. also i thought i would point out, no matter what “they” are saying, i almost sure he would have a special unit assigned to secure him, in fact he probably isnt on the front line. oh wasnt it said they were pulling out soon?

I agree… He has already eclipsed his father as a man and as a royal. After all, what has Charles ever accomplished other than bagging Diana, and he managed to screw that up.

If he were to be killed I could see brits retaliating on the local terrorists…i meant local “muslim” neighborhoods.

Something to the effect of “LA Riot” type reaction. But who knows Harry may not even get a chance to return any fire. I saw a ton of Marines never leave the FOB or even go condition 1 with their weapons other than fam fire.

Well the guy is going in with his unit, good for him in not pussing out.

If the jihadi’s did manage to kidnap or harm him, it would be one of those chrystalizing events in history; either the UK would wimp out or cowboy up and history would be written accordingly.

I admire his guts but I can’t imagine what his chain of command is thinking - something tells me Harry might end up the power-point be-otch in whatever the Brits call their COC.
