Television pushes a liberal agenda

Is anyone surprised by this:rolleyes:. Amazing though how things have changed for them to feel so comfortable to publicly say these things.

Good find, it will be interesting to watch the fallout. This is something everyone basically intrinsicly knows, but having the admisions will at least allow some evidence instead of us being accused of “wild” accusations.

I really can not think of a single actor who’s career did not plateau or plummet after they came “out of the closet” on their political beliefs and the hatred that these movers in Hollywood harbor for conservatives is surprisingly venomous.

I wonder what effect the so called “fairness doctrine” will have on TV and movies

While it is something most of us already know I thought it was significant that there is an open admission.

I am Jack’s complete lack of surprise.

Ironically both David Fincher, (Director of the Fight Club movie) and Chuck Paluinuk (writer of the book) are both admitted Libertarians, and Republicans.

That made me laugh a little.

I’m shocked, shocked to find that gambling is going on in here!

Well no shit!
I’m really surprised there hasn’t been more of these type of articles, given the drivel Hollyweird has been pumping out- namely tv shows-in the last few years especially.
It’s actually kind of funny that these type of folk feel their stance is perfectly correct and normal, and then have the brass to tell the other side of the aisle to ‘tone it down’. Imagine the uproar if this were the other way 'round…

As a child, I was a big fan of Macgyver. When I went back a year or so ago and tried to watch it, I saw the liberal propaganda (the episode where an old revolver makes whoever owns it kill people, and it involved some factory with bad guys where they were making AKs which in the end were melted down for the safety of the “good people” of the inner city).

Apparently the only weapon libs can stand is a Victorinox.

Im still waiting for Baldwin to leave the US since Bush got reelected.

I’ve never heard Palahniuk called a Republican.

He is openly homosexual, so I would be surprised if it were so.

In fact, everything I’ve read from him makes him seem pretty apolitical.

Never heard of log cabin republicans?

Sure I have, and I wasn’t trying to be argumentative. It’s just that I’ve read several of his books, and I’ve never heard him describe himself as a Republican. I’ve never read anyone else say it, either, but I’m no expert on his personal views. I spent too much of my young adulthood studying literature, so now I read blissfully just for fun.

To put it another way, I’m surprised he is a Republican, mostly from the impression I’ve gotten from reading his books, but also because he’s a homosexual.

Was beginning to think I was the only one who still remembered that.

The article is hardly shocking.

Chuck’s a Libertarian, Fincher is a Republican.

And in other news the sun will rise in the east and my mother in law is a raging bitch.

Yeah it doesn’t surprise me in the least. This article was posted at another board where I am a member and the spin put on by the liberal members was so bad I thought a new gravity well was being formed. Their idea was to attack Shapiro and ignore the content of the article. I asked them if they would still be in favor of the fairness doctrine as applied to all media. The reactions were interesting.

And…?

Interesting, I am a HUGE fan of both, and I did not know that. Awesome.

Next we are going to discover newspapers have a liberal editorial bias.

Excellent.

One more reason for me not to watch TV. If I’m really that lazy, Hulu has lots of good shows to watch for the price of my internet connection.

The revolution will not be televised.
