TC pro 308 question

I have a TC pro hunter in 308 . My uncle said he had a bunch of ammo I can have . Well hell yeah is what I thought ! I notice some is NATO rounds . I got the flutted barrel , and the rifle is so accurate I don’t want to screw it up . But I am reading conflicting reports if this is ok to fire NATO rounds . Thank you for your help

Is this in the wrong section ?

They operate at higher pressure, i would think given the breach design of the tc and its inherent strength you ok to shoot them.

It’s fine.

Yes you can shoot 7.62x51 out of your .308

You should not fire .308 out of your 7.62x51 marked rifle due to it being a hotter round.

Thanx for the info guys . Hated to turn down free ammo . Funny how it’s different from 223/556.

Yes it is.

I never turn down free ammo

In this situation we are talking about 250 rounds in a big Ziploc bag . Here is the TC pro with a Leopold scope . Traded a bow of mine for it , she was dirty . But a lil break free, slip2000, scrubbing goes a long way

It’s not different in the regard to which you are speaking, however that’s a general rule for AR systems, due to the floating firing pin and the sensitive gas system. Your rifle can handle the higher pressure. Dont believe that this rule holds true in every situation.

Ok , I will always ask the question if I am in doubt . Thanx again everyone
