TAVOR TRIGGER from SHOOTINGSIGHT

Please excuse my writing: I’m not the best at words on paper. I talk for a living : Thanks God I don’t write for one: Received a new Shooting Sight trigger from ART. Today I gave it a short run around the block. I will continue posting results over the next few days .

I have put 2 mags through the Tavor with no problems : This thing is sweet> I can feel the first stage stop if I really take my time on the first round. Otherwise with a normal slow continuous fire I can go right thru both stages. I’d imagine if you didn’t mention the first stage most wouldn’t even realize it was there. On reset after the fist round the initial 1st stage seems unremarkable. There’s a definite 2nd stage stacking. Although steady slow or rapid fire seems to be very easily accomplished. The break when I took my time is definitely much lighter then stock but firm with a nice crisp break. Keeping on Target with Rapid fire was effortless. *The reset is slightly shorter then stock but not noticeably so.

I am in North West Michigan and it’s extremely cold. I shot glove less so I could feel what the Trigger is doing. *Then shot with gloves. *I tried a short drill of 5 shots. Alternating from fire to safety. No surprises there… I’d like to try some longer shots. Today I shot mostly at 50 yards-I did have ten offhand hits out to 100 yards on 8X10 Steel plate. I missed the plate 2 times out of 12. I honestly have to attribute that to numb fingers.

Today i was shooting basically for function. It worked flawlessly to this point. I see no reason to think it won’t continue that way- My plans are to get at least 500 rounds down-range between Friday-Sunday. Then give a more extensive review. *

The Shooting Sight trigger is fantastic. I am really impressed. Not sure what the pull weight ended up at, but feels just right for this Tavor. My guess is that it’s right around 5 pounds .

IMO what I like most about the Tavor is how long you can remain accurate shooting offhand without fatigue or barrel drift. To me that’s what is so fun. The Tavor is like shooting a big super sized handgun. ART’s Trigger is a perfect fit for this weapon.

I am really pleased with how this turned out: : I would say at this point an easy way to describe how it feels over-all. Would be exactly like what you are already used to on the Tavor, but at 1/3 the pull weight. I had no trouble keeping the Tavor on target. *I can’t imagine anyone who’s been waiting for a nice trigger not to be thrilled with this.

I can’t wait to try again tomorrow.

You have a winner here.

Very nice review. I’m on the list and am looking forward to the finished product in about a month, month and a half…
