Is it worth buying and installing or an aggravating piece of shit? Is there another app that’s better?
I just got my first smartphone, an android nexus 4. Viewing forums is kind of a pain in the ass.

No. The new one doesn’t have access to PMs, that I’ve found anyway. So that sucks.
Tapatalk 1 with the update doesn’t have them either… Hmm
PMs work on other forums I am a member of on Tapatalk…makes me think it is an M4C issue.

I think so too. Occasionally, if I log out & back in, I’ll have access to PMs. Only lasts for a little while & it reverts back to a 4 button menu. Weird

Tapatalk is worth it. And the PM issue is a problem with this site as it works on other forums just fine.
I can access PMs on this site no problem. You just can’t log in under the “local” option and you have to use the one that says its the official M4C or something like that.
That works for me temporarily, but eventually it disappears and I have to delete M4C, find it again, and then log back in. Kind of a pain.

Yep, that’s been my experience. Glad to learn I’m not the only one. I suspect it is a M4C specific problem though, as I don’t have to login/logout on the other forums I access via Tapatalk.

I’m a loser so I don’t have to worry about people sending me PM’s unless it’s JSantoro and I went full retard again.
It isn’t just PMs; as stated earlier, after a short period the forum reverts to the four button menu. You lose quite a bit of functionality from the 7 button menu (such as ability to sort by Latest posts). Logging out and logging back in brings the 7 button menu back up.
I still recommend Tapatalk; as said earlier this is more of a site specific glitch. Glad that M4C Staff is looking into it.
