Would love to see M4CN add the Tapatalk plug-in for mobile device integration (most newer versions of vB are compatible).
Tapatalk enables iPhone, Android, Blackberry and Nokia phone users to access the boards without having to log in to a conventional browser.
We’ve had excellent results with the software at Weapon Evolution, there are no associated costs to the site, and installation is extremely straightforward.

I suspect there are other, higher-priority projects going on behind-the-scenes, though as time goes on, I would agree that this remains something of a missed opportunity.

Why does that matter in making the decision whether to support this or not? Each individual will have to make that decision (I probably would for example).
I’ve been using it for my forum and a few others for a while now. Gret app, well worth paying for the Pro version, too.
Because we have a lot of priorities for the forum that are ahead of plugins like this.
So if there is not enough interest, we want to know so we do not waste any of our valuable assets.
It takes 1 minute to install: copy a folder to the forum root, and add a single line to headinclude template. That’s it.
I would definitely spend more time on the forum if I could use Tapatalk on Android to access it.

A couple points of clarification may be in order, as there are actually two versions of the Tapatalk client application available:
TAPATALK RO - FORUM APP
This “read only” version of the Tapatalk client app is 100% free. It provides the full mobile browsing experience of Tapatalk, but it does not allow a user to input his or her account settings. For this reason, it is possible to view messaages, but not to post/reply, nor to access PMs.
TAPATALK FORUM APP
The full version of the Tapatalk client costs a very reasonable $2.99. It does everything that TAPATALK RO does, but with an important difference, since it allows a user to input his or her account settings. Once this is done, it is possible to perform most any function that is possible via a regular web browser, to include posting new messages and replies, accessing PMs and performing many functions associated with the user Control Panel.
Whichever client is chosen, what Tapatalk delivers is a highly-readable, fast-loading interface for that can be accessed while on the move in a format that is optimized for smartphone screens. What’s more, the same client app will work for any Tapatalk-enabled forum, to include HKPro, Weapon Evolution and countless others.
In other words, there isn’t much of a downside here, whether one chooses to actually spend the $2.99 or not.

I would very much like to see this implemented. Another forum I frequent just implemented it and it would be great to be able to check in on all the forums I enjoy with the same app.

I’m curious what kind of response we have to get here for the site staff to feel the demand is high enough to implement this feature.

The blackberry version is stinn in Beta, so it is still free:D
I just downloaded it. I entered my user name and password so it looks like the full version.
