Here is there site, but I think more importantly here is there rifle. I’ve honestly never heard of the company until today, but that rifle looks like a real good one for the price. I saw a couple positive responses in Lightfighter (from chappy and hasher), but I think this forum is more specific and I’m likely to get a little more detail.

Seems like they’re selling a quality product with a few of the original problems worked out (staking, ejector spring insert, etc). It doesn’t say whether they make their own parts (uppers, lowers, barrels, BCGs) or retool other manufacturers’ stuff. Not enough pics on the website to tell.
Looks like they have some pretty good deals on AKs as well if anybody is interested.

did it myself… called, they’re waiting on UPPERS, believe it or not, to come in… they have complete lowers ready to ship backorders. i talked to Doug (i think?), who said they’d be ready to start building new orders at the beginning of february- which, as well all know, means the beginning of april.
i wouldn’t mind grabbing an upper and seeing whats to see… forgot to ask how much they’d be selling uppers for.

HDI is top notch. Ron and the gang are good people, I’m happy I know of them and have had the pleasure to buy 2 rifles from them (AK’s). I’ll be buying more…
yes…as of yesterday we had about 6 left. one is mine though. dont buy that one.
Have not dealt with them over AR’s but had them chop a PKM barrel for me and the work was first rate/reasonably priced/and the customer service was top notch. Apparently they can build the shit out of an AK (amongst other things) as well.

It’s good to see positive feedback about HDI. I like options on who I can buy from, and who I can point others to. I might be bugging HDI about an AK in the near future come tax time…
