Is TAG any better at shipping dates lately?
I like a lot of TAG gear, but their ship times to me make baby Jebus cry.
It’ll be well-built kit, without a doubt in my mind, but don’t try get it from them directly, you won’t see it until the next presidential election.
The gear is great, but 3-6 month wait times (or more) are common if it’s not a commonplace item like mag pouches, hydro carriers and whatnot. I don’t think that’s their intent, but I do think that their planning sucks, and they’ve never done anything to change it.
Buy it from someplace that you could walk in and pull it off a shelf, if you go for it, or an online dealer that has real-time stock tracking capability. Call OP Tactical: http://www.optactical.com/tagcosupa.html

I don’t know why I keep buying TAG stuff. I’ve always been disappointed by everything they make. I guess it’s because the retailer nearby stocks their things.
Definitely not worth the money. It doesn’t include a bladder as pictured (dealer’s website did not mention this) and the design and construciton is mediocre. Save yourself some money and pick up the better equivalent products from Camelbak.

Yeah, no kidding. I hate their lack of responsiveness, but whatever kit that dude’s using to make him think that TAG’s QC is somehow less-than-good must be made of unicorn farts, the happy dreams of children and endless beer.
I.e., NOT Camelback. Another company I like (I have a BFM that’s held up extraordinarily well, considering…), but saying that they’re of tougher build quality than TAG…?

I had a problem with the design and quality of stitching. The retailer was good enough to refund my money so I could pick up something that better suited my needs.
We retail a lot of tags gear and have handled nearly every item they carry. Things like i see that in picture are very very rare and far between.
Tag’s warranty policy is superb and I’m sure your retailer was able to have this pack fixed for free.
I bought one when they first came out and had it sent to me when i was overseas last year. It was exactly what i was looking for in a water carrier with extra gear-carrying capacity without having to step up to a pack. Another feature i always wanted was making magazines readily accessible, as this pack does. The mesh bag that comes with it has been very useful for a variety of things. Due to its weight, I even carry it inside my bigger packs while on longer-duration outings. Its great to have to be able to drop the heavy pack, transfer a bladder and whatever other essential gear over to the Combat Sustainment Pack, and take off on quick scouts from the holding area. When I return and ruck up again, the Combat Sustainment Pack is either rolled up tightly or just layed inside whatever bigger pack I am using at the time. Its uses are limited only to your imagination.
I have been using TAG gear almost exclusively due to the quality and their warranty. Gear wears out when you are using it, but TAG gear has not failed me yet while on deployments. It gets me home and i replace worn items back here. I also like that they started using 500D nylon a year or so ago. I like being lightweight. It has now become my standard for any new gear i buy, unless I feel that a particular piece is better off in 1000D. Ares Armor has been able to get whatever TAG stuff I have needed promptly. Currently, I am about to equip some teammates with some TAG products, and Ares is being very helpful with getting the slightly-larger quantity products in a very short time frame. Find yourself a good retailer like Ares, and the TAG waiting game for good gear has since disappeared [for me at least].

I bought one of thier assault packs a few years ago. One of the straps tore through when it was practically brand new. I’ve never had this happen before on any other pack, even a cheap Walmart Jansport. I took it back to the TAG outlet in Fayetteville and expected to get it exchanged but it was sent back for repair instead. It took several months to get it back. It has performed well since the repair but I wasn’t really satisfied with the original flaw or the way it was handled.

If you had bought it from us we would have instantly switched it out for you… We almost always have this pack in stock in Coyote, Atacs, and Multi-cam.
