Tactical solutions add-on receivers for the Ruger Mk II/III 22-45

I have a Ruger Mk III 22-45, and it’s a great shooter, but I’m interested in getting something lighter, if possible. The Tactical Solutions receivers give you an extremely accurate upgrade which is much lighter, has better sights than the factory, and you can also get them threaded. But they aren’t cheap: they cost as much as the whole pistol.

Has anybody tried these Tacsol receivers, and if so, what was your experience?

I’ve had a threaded version since 07. Love it. I shoot it suppressed only with a Burris Fast Fire on top, it never has a problem killing the cans I shoot at.

When I sighted the Fast Fire in last time (@ 50 feet) the gun was shooting almost one hole groups.

I have 4…used to have 5…soon to be 5 again…

You might say I like them…a lot…

Well I finally took the plunge and ordered one of these. Got the 6" matte version, threaded with silver flutes. Here’s the product pic, haven’t received it yet:

The main reasons I wanted to try one:

  • Reduction in weight compared to factory setup (supposedly about 3/4 of a pound)
  • Alleged improvement in accuracy (altho factory barrel is extremely accurate to 25 yards, in mine)
  • Threaded barrel (WA state just passed a law allowing suppressor use)

I’ll report on the unit after I try it.

I am going to convert my 22/45 to this. I have the upper. The plastic lower will be ground down and hardware installed to put a pair of 1911 grips on. This is a friends pistol:

I like mine very much.

Nice setup goteron. What kind of suppressor is that?

SilencerCo SS Sparrow

AAC Element on order. Waiting for my dealer to get it so I can send the paper work off.

Umm wrong forum.:nono:

yes this is the wrong forum, but I will add that mine has been trouble free for 1k round. And my daughter will always that one first because of the weight. I also find the light weight better for recoil handling when training.
