What say you? Legitimate? Did a search, no mention.
I just ordered seven 80% lowers and a jig kit from them, probably would have shipped already but I emailed them a few hours after placing the order to add to the original number of lowers. I’m sure I’ll be seeing the package within a week.
I have three of their lowers on different rifles. Top quality stuff. They are local so I am able to go by the shop. They have invested serious coin in their machining equipment. I have seen many different rollmarks for the lowers they produce for other companies in the shop. Good group of guys, couple of the local SO’s had them build up their rifles. Call Junior and talk to him, that should put any concerns to rest.
IMHO, good company, quality products. Used parts from them on 2 builds with no worries.
Yeah at my local shop they have the Tactical Machine lowers, or the spikes. I handled both and I really don’t like the spikes spider, & zombie lowers. The Tactical Machine looked great.
Wanted to ask as I’ve never heard of them. Thinking of picking a TM up. Good price too. I saw on their website just now they sell uppers & BCGs. They MPI/HP bolts, barrels and utilize proper materials.
Why is it I’ve never heard of these guys anywhere?
Those 80 percent kits look totally badass. Wish I had the equipment to do a few.
@rero360 I’d love to see a finished one. Thats totally cool. I love the idea of etching a personal logo/serial #.
Why bother…?
Just order a BCM lower from Grant, and have him put a bullet button on it…
Well I tell ya what DS, I do like supporting local business. The idea is speculation at the moment. Just curious about this company I never heard about. I have a BCM upper on the way finally.
Would it be a bad idea to build one of the TM stripped lowers with QUALITY parts? I understand BCM is the cats ass, but would this really matter aside from the finish not matching? A lower is a lower isnt it? I can say that these Tactical Machines were clean. They looked as good as any other.
ETA: Another question. What LPK does BCM use?
i have bought a ton of stuff from them never had a bad piece
use their uppers and upper parts kits for a dozen builds.
.556
7.62x39
5.45x39
all got his flat top complete uppers.
my truck gun. (never take it out) uses a lower i got from him thru my ffl. best quality for the money in the business.
he is onto a new .308 carbine that should be the cat’s ass.
he is a local l.e.o. in the Orlando area. his son is the shop foreman
could not think of better people to deal with in this industry.
honest
hi quality gear
no “tier ! attitude”
whats not to like
and no dont know him never met him dont own the business
just a pleasure to work with a polite person who makes good gear
And then have it shipped to a LGS who will charge me something like $75 for the out of state transfer, plus the $35 for the DROS, then wait 10 days before having to drive back to pick it up?
Thanks but no thanks, I think I’m never going to DROS another gun while I live here in CA, with the exception being pistols that I can’t find 60% frames for. All that of course is while the current laws still stand, once the state returns to some semblance of the rest of the country I’ll reevaluate my stance on it all.
While I agree with you, if there is any benefit to having a BCM lower, me personally, I would go through the hassle. The thing is I’m not sure there is a benefit aside from having a complete BCM gun.
If using quality parts, and assembling this stripped lower (which I will assume is in spec for this mental excersize) correctly, I dont see a difference. Please someone school me if I’m wrong. As my locall FFL charges a good amount for transfer as well.
I think being assured a quality lower, with no guessing or wondering its legitimacy is why Mr. DeltaSierra made his suggestion. And that may be worth a bit extra to some folks. Piece of mind.
Well I am a machinist with access to all the needed tools and machines to ensure the lowers are machined properly and within spec. I also have a local shop that does type 3 hard anodizing to mil-specs, therefore there is no concern to the lower being of poorer quality than a purchased one, just no rollmark and the associated costs with buying an already made lower.
Additionally, I’m contemplating making an AR pistol from my lower of the group, in CA you can’t buy a stripped lower to turn it into a pistol, it has to be already built up as a pistol, I’d rather build it exactly how I want to without having excess parts.
Then there is the having firearms not registered in any way, and the plain old pride of building something with your own two hands, and I see no downside to machining an 80% at all.
Yes indeed. Absolutely agree on the pride of maching your own. It takes skill most definitely, even with the jigs. If I had the $, machinery & time I would try it out no doubt.
I meant the stripped units that you can buy however.
To the OP and responders: Are you in any way associated with this business endeavor? Not insinuating anything, just would not be the first time we have had “advertising.”
Not directed at DS. He is a well known asshole(after my own heart.)![]()
Ah, I got you, yeah, different situation then.
Nope, don’t know the people at TM, nor associated with them in any way other than placing this order with them, first time dealing with them as well. Outside of that, my only connection to anything FL is I have an aunt who lives on the panhandle that I haven’t seen since '02.
No sir. Absolutely not in any way. I live in CA. And saw these stripped lowers in my local shop. As stated was curious about them.
Now, now…
