T1 and 14" Shotgun - Zero Distance...

I just installed Micro T1 and LaRue short mount on my 14" SBS 870.

The sights sits too hight to co-witness with irons (a bit of a disadvantage). Its Vang Comp rear sight with integrated rail.

My question is what distance should I sight the optic? I plan to shoot 00 Buck and Slugs through it.

Sight it in for 25 yards with slugs and call it good. That will give you a 25/100 yard zero (roughly) ajd your 00 buck should be go to go at any useful range.
