Im new to trying to work on my Ars and Ive bought a few new replacement ejection port covers and Ive seen a few ways to replacing them.
I would like to ask of you members how to do this WITHOUT removing the barrel and delta ring and how easy is it to do?

Good time to justify a Rail!
I’ve replaced several ejection port cover springs and never had to remove the barrel to do it. Remove the E clip on the right side. I used needle nose pliers. Make sure you look at the way the ejection port cover spring is situated so that you replace it correctly. Slide the metal pole (I can’t remember the correct term for it right now) towards the rear of the gun. There was enough play each time I did it to clear the forward assist.
Getting the spring set when you replace it can be tricky if you’ve never done it before. You have to start the rod through the spring, wrap the spring to give it tension, hold the assembly in place and then push the rod the rest of the way through and replace the E clip. Clear as mud, right?let me know if that doesn’t make any sense and I can try to clarify.

Absolutely. I had just enough room, but it was close, the hinge pin almost had to bend just EVER so slightly and there was much wiggling with gently-clamped needle-nose pliers.
Take your time, be careful, and ensure you don’t snap anything by tugging too hard or getting frustrated. It takes a little time, but it avoids having to remove the delta ring.
This video: http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/lid=11427/learn/ was a little helpful. They’re installing it on a bare upper receiver so it’s sliding out the opposite (easy) way, but being able to replay someone else putting one together if you get lost might help?

This was the only place I could find that helped me do this. I did it this way… only I put some thin cardboard-type paper in between the metal parts so no marring occurred… If that helps anyone. I think it kept the spring from scratching the upper before it leapt out at me. (My hands aren’t steady with stuff like this) Anyway, Thanks again.
I place tape over the forward assist housing so I do not scratch it.
Yeah I found it easy to change the cover without removing the barrel just gotta play with it but tape the forward assist you don’t wanna scratch it and it is easy to do.
I bought one of those cool dust covers to add a little character to my rifle and decided I’d run the camera while I installed it. It was quite painful at first, but after I came up with a technique it was actually pretty easy.
