it seems too far forward to use your thumb…? How do you activate it?

I run Gear Sector mounts on my rifles (all have FSB) w/X300. Mounts up perfectly at 11 o’clock. Just activate with my thumb, caveman easy.

Personally, I’d want to try the Mossie mount in combination with a DD FSP-M handguard, or a tubular one with a cutout for the front sight block (are you listening, Lancer?). That way, you’ve got handguard around the sides of the front sight block to keep your hands from getting burnt.

Alternatively, run a pressure pad at 12 o’clock behind the front sight block and choke your grip up.
