Questions…

Have you done a side by side comparison of the Vampire vice a regular Surefire IR filter cap, vice the IR illuminator on a PEQ-15?

There really is no comparison between the Vamp and an IR filter cover. IR filters are a stop-gap and have never really functioned all that well. They are close range devices only.

As for the PEQ15: no we have not done a comparison yet. My experiences with the PEQ15 IR Illuminator (low power) have given me less throw than the Vamp. Generally, ATPIAL Illuminators (low power) have been good out to about 100 yards. But, the 30mw high power setting blows the vamp out of the water.
