Is there a way to detach the pressure switch from the rear of a surefire a2 cap?

Should just pull out and snap back in to re-attach
pull on the grey/silver part, not the cable.
I know this may sound idiotic, but is it the same for cable switch for Surefire scout light? I’ve been trying to twist it out literally for 2 days straight with no avail.
Yep, just pull straight out while gripping the silver colored connector. No need to twist.
