Surefire EW-10 Crank Folding Knife

Haven’t seen much info out there on this new knife from Surefire. I just picked one up.

At $179 it considerably more affordable then the Delta. It’s a smaller more compact knife then the delta as well, at 3.2oz with a 3in blade.

I’ve had my for about 24 or hours or so and my initial impressions are pretty good. Well built, solid feel and good ergonomics. Slightly more practical tools for me than the Delta, including a bottle opener and a 1/2in hex wrench with slots to hold coins as improvised screw drivers. In practice the slots can be used to grip a lot of stuff, including my utilikey screwdrivers, which is pretty handy.

The only downside is that the clip places the knife pretty high in the pocket, with a good inch of knife sticking out the top. It also doesn’t appear to be reservable.

For now at least it’s replaced my Benchmade 530 as an EDC.

Even though very old review I’m glad I found it, good info. I decided on a Buck Bravo that has turned in to a great every day carry.
