Generally speaking, it is a good idea to put a shock isolated head on any light that is going to be on a weapon (or use an LED).

We build our own custom SF Scout lights and they are in the mid $200’s.

No as the VLTOR offset is for 1" in diameter flashlights.

The Scout mount has mounting ridges on it anyway so you wouldn’t want to use it.
