surefire 60rd

Is the surefire ar 60rd mag worth a bill (100)?
is that about the pre panic cost?
or over priced?
just like ur opinions b4 i drop that kind of money. if its not then i won’t. no big deal.

I think they’re more like $160.

I think they used to be 89.99 msrp.

How much a mag is worth is really dependent on you.

If it were me, I’d much prefer a couple of PMags for a fraction of the cost of a Surefire 60. Although, it is nice to have a couple 60s and 100s.

You can find some online for $100ish.

Last two I bought were $130 each if I remember correctly.

There are a number of other threads floating around here regarding these magazines, for further reading.

Mine runs great with 5.56 or 300BLK, but that is a sample of one. I’ve fired it with and without a can, and both semi and full auto.

I have a single 60 round Sure Fire mag I bought before The Insanity. It’s been trouble free and it’s fun to have 60 round on tap. However, I could have bought eight 30 round P mags for the same price and the Sure Fire is heavy when fully loaded. Only you can decide if the novelty of having a single 60 round mag is worth the price of eight 30 round magazines

In my local area they were usually $119.99

I get what ur saying about if its worth it for me. im more curious what other people thinks about it. cause if its way over priced then its not worth it. like u said more of a novelty.
i like to get peoples opinions. it helps.me decide cause im a picky person and sometimes i take forever to buy something. i done like over paying for stuff.
Some said it used to be 90 but now it seems almost doubted the price. (on sure fire website ).

How much did u get it for b4 the craziness?

it seems sure fire has raised the prices. not sure cause of the panic or because increase in manufacturing cost or they just want to get more cause of the panic.

Yea im at work and i just didn’t think about it.

By the way what is the warranty like on the sure fire?
in case if there r some problems.

I bought 2 of them for $88.97 or so from Brownells, one before the lunacy kicked off and one back ordered that showed up.

One is still in the package, along with the 10 pack of PMags that I got at the same time. The other one didn’t feed reliably at first because the larger of the two followers or the larger coil springs were hanging up on a “notch” on the stamped aluminum center divider in the bottom half of the magazine that divide the rounds into two double stacks. This gave very weak follower pressure and it would only lift about 26-27 rounds before it turned into a very expensive maraca.

Fortunately I was able to diagnose this problem, and with some judicious swipes of a handy file from my tool box on the offending area of the stamped part, the problem seems to have been solved.

I got it for about $90 plus tax. When I bought it, I was working on a contract that paid good money so it’s cost wasn’t a big deal at the time. I wish I’d bought two to see what swapping mags would be like. On the other hand, it’s bulkier than two 30 round mags and I haven’t figured out how I’d carry a spare Surfire if I had one.

Never thought to check to see what the warranty was like but Surefire has a reputation for good customer service

I paid 129 at aimsurplus.com. I used it in a 3gun. It worked great. A guy on my squad said his didnt work and said I could have it.

Take him up on the offer, take it apart, look for burrs or steps on the stamped aluminum center divider that the two followers telescope over. If there are some present, file them smooth, reassemble and enjoy.

The reason why i brought it up was because i saw one at a gun show yesterday. I read some reviews about them and it seems so so. Some people has problems with them and some don’t.

I may jump on it. For a 100 seems like the norm.

I never saw a retail that low, $129.99 usually, sometimes with a $20 rebate. BCM had them for $97 and change.

What kind of capacity for the .300BLK?

My LGS had them for 89.99 before SH and I their prices are normally over msrp.
